CPU Implementation Engineer

What you'll do

• Collaborate with micro-architects to define memory subsystems and balance pipeline stages.
• Perform feasibility studies and trade-off analysis for area, frequency, performance, and power.
• Drive the RTL-to-GDS flow through synthesis and place-and-route processes.
• Meet ambitious targets for power, performance, and area during physical design.
• Implement and validate physical design aspects including timing, reliability, and testability.
• Develop scripts using Perl or TCL to support engineering workflows.

What we're looking for

• Minimum BS degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with scripting in Perl or TCL.
• Familiarity with high performance microprocessor architecture (preferred).
• Knowledge of logic design principles along with timing and power implications (preferred).
• Understanding of low power microarchitecture and implementation techniques (preferred).
• Design experience in deep sub-micron technologies and device physics (preferred).
• Experience using synthesis & place-route tools (preferred).
