As a CPU Design Verification Engineer, you will join a high-visibility chip design team to own the verification of specific functional areas within a CPU design. The role requires proficiency in C, C++, or SystemVerilog, along with academic knowledge of CPU architecture, digital logic design, and microarchitecture. You will solve critical technical challenges related to hardware verification for specific blocks within complex processor architectures.

What you'll do

Verify the functional correctness of specific CPU design areas in collaboration with architecture and RTL designers.
Develop comprehensive test plans and verification environments for chip designs.
Create tests using assembly, C, or vectors based on established test plans.
Develop coverage monitors to track and ensure all test cases are executed.
Analyze coverage data to identify and address gaps in the verification process.
Develop checkers and SystemVerilog or C-based transactors to verify design functionality.

What we're looking for

Minimum BS degree.
Academic experience in CPU architecture.
Programming experience in C, C++, or SystemVerilog.
Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (preferred).
Internship or academic project experience in hardware verification and/or design (preferred).
Academic experience in digital logic design, chip architecture, and microarchitecture (preferred).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently (preferred).
