TL;DR · Construction Systems Specialist

As a Construction Systems Specialist on the Capital Operations team, you will serve as the primary product owner for the organization's Project Management Information System (PMIS). You will be responsible for the system’s configuration, roadmap, and day-to-day operations, including managing integrations with ERP systems and Airtable. Your daily work involves standing up projects, performing data migrations, creating reports and dashboards, and providing training to project managers and external partners. To succeed, you must possess expertise in construction management software like Procore or Oracle Unifier, along with skills in business process design and technical troubleshooting. This role addresses the complex challenge of managing the infrastructure for advanced defense technology, specifically overseeing the development of high-performance manufacturing facilities and mission-critical secure environments to accelerate the transition of critical technologies from concept to production.

What you'll do

  • Act as the primary product owner for the Project Management Information System (PMIS) by managing its configuration, roadmap, and daily operations.
  • Translate project manager pain points into prioritized system improvements and manage the development backlog.
  • Configure and roll out business modules including budget management, procurement, change orders, and document management.
  • Perform system administration tasks such as user provisioning, role-based access control, and data integrity maintenance.
  • Manage integrations between the PMIS and other platforms like ERP systems and Airtable to ensure accurate data flow.
  • Build and maintain real-time reports and dashboards for executive oversight of budgets, risks, and project status.
  • Train internal teams and external partners on system usage while creating comprehensive training documentation and SOPs.
  • Oversee the migration of project data and the implementation of additional construction technology tools over time.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access requirements for export-controlled information or facilities.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience implementing, administering, or owning enterprise project management, project controls, or construction management software.
  • Experience in hands-on system configuration including building and modifying business processes, workflows, forms, reports, and user permissions.
  • Experience managing software integrations with ERP or financial systems (Oracle Fusion experience is a strong plus).
  • Ability to act as a product owner by gathering requirements from non-technical users and prioritizing roadmaps.
  • Strong training and communication skills to lead group/1:1 sessions and produce clear documentation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for select trainings and configurations.
  • Experience in construction, capital projects, advanced manufacturing, or with reporting tools like Power BI (preferred); Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
