What you'll do

Identify, investigate, and manage risk mitigation strategies for complex and large loss claims.
Develop resolution plans for high-value claims while ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and insurance partners.
Manage relationships with insurers and third-party adjusters to ensure proper claim handling and coverage.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Legal, Trust, and Product to address emerging risks and platform threats.
Report on performance metrics and risk data during monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews.
Mentor and upskill junior team members by simplifying complex claims knowledge and data analysis.
Monitor the impact of policy and product roadmaps on risk exposure and mitigation efforts.

What we're looking for

10+ years of Insurance Claims Coverage and Litigation experience with an emphasis on liability and property.
Strong knowledge of insurance policy, including technical claim, legal, and risk knowledge.
Ability to be on call and work weekends or evenings as needed.
Proven ability to negotiate skillfully and influence cross-functional teams across different regions and seniority levels.
Excellent analytical skills to identify risks and resolve complex disputes with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.
BA/BS degree in a business or technical field (preferred).
Knowledge of Casualty and Property Insurance Policies, FINC claims, or Captive Insurance (preferred).
