Commercial Leader – Advanced Manufacturing & Digital Solutions joins the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center team to drive digitally enabled manufacturing through data, AI, and enterprise integration. This role focuses on developing customer opportunities that combine additive manufacturing with digital solutions like the digital thread, manufacturing execution systems, product lifecycle management, and connected factory concepts. The individual will lead discovery sessions to identify supply-chain challenges, develop phased transformation roadmaps, and create business cases for scalable programs. Key responsibilities include managing a disciplined opportunity pipeline, building executive relationships, and coordinating across engineering, data, and plant organizations to improve manufacturing throughput and capacity utilization. Required skills include expertise in industrial data systems, AI-enabled workflows, and commercial acumen. The role addresses the technical challenge of transforming manufacturing performance through integrated digital tools for energy, aerospace, defense, and government sectors.
Develop and execute commercial growth strategies for advanced manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and digital solutions.
Identify, qualify, and convert customer opportunities across energy, industrial, aerospace, defense, and government sectors.
Lead discovery sessions to help customers define digital manufacturing strategies and phased transformation roadmaps.
Translate complex customer needs into integrated technical solutions using AI, data analytics, and digital thread technologies.
Develop business cases that articulate expected value, implementation priorities, and pathways to scale for clients.
Connect customer demand with internal manufacturing capabilities to increase throughput and optimize capacity utilization.
Package advanced manufacturing capabilities into repeatable products with clear commercial models and delivery ownership.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, digital, legal, and finance to deliver unified customer solutions.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, computer science, data science, business, or a related discipline.
Significant experience in business development, strategic sales, consulting, account leadership, or commercialization within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to develop executive customer relationships and convert complex needs into commercial opportunities.
Working knowledge of advanced manufacturing and digital manufacturing concepts including additive manufacturing, digital thread, and AI.
Experience leading complex pursuits requiring coordination across technical, operational, commercial, and customer organizations.
Strong financial and commercial acumen including value proposition development, business cases, pricing, negotiation, and opportunity forecasting.
Ability to communicate credibly with both executive and technical audiences to translate business outcomes into solution requirements.
Valid work authorization in the United States is required.
