These Lead Engineers will work in Baker Hughes iCenters. The Service Engineer is committed to follow the monitored equipment for Global fleet (rotating machinery, electrical equipment and relevant auxiliaries). Focused on data analysis, will act as customer entry point for troubleshooting and fleet KPI assessment both at site and from remote iCenter. Continuous alignment with project and service engineering teams and vendors will be requested. You will prepare technical reports and suggest improvements to optimize service so that it is aligned with customer expectations.
As a Lead Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Acting as lead engineer for focal point sites, closely tracking and managing technical issues to resolution, coordinating and communicating with customers and internal experts and other vendor’s organizations, fulfilling customized evaluations and optimization studies, and maintaining alignment between site and iCenters
- Daily monitoring of the M&D fleet composed of aeroderivative and heavy-duty gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, VSDS, electric motors, gearboxes, auxiliaries and balance of plant
- Analyzing data and alerts generated by BH Monitoring & Diagnostic (M&D) systems and provide insights to prevent asset failures and optimize asset performance and operation
- Troubleshoot technical issues on monitored fleet and communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Preparing and review of technical documentation such as trip root cause analyses, anomaly notifications and monthly reports
- Acting as customer entry point for M&D, discussing technical details of issues and findings
- Managing operating rhythm and periodic technical reviews with customers
- Meeting cycle time goals while ensuring quality for M&D deliverables
- Be available for critical issue resolution on a dedicated fleet
- Working assigned weekends and holidays on a rotational basis (flexible compensation time and bonus received for weekend/holiday shifts)
- Navigating and interpreting site-specific control software (e.g. MarkVI/VIe, MicroNet/Plus, RX3i/RX7i, Allen-Bradley etc.) and engineering documents (e.g. P&ID, Instrument List, Wiring Diagram) to support technical analyses
- Utilizing Bently Nevada System1 vibration monitoring software to perform deep investigation on vibration issues
- Validating performance calculations on monitored equipment, identify non-conformities and provide insights
- Supporting the development and deployment of diagnostic systems in terms of hardware, software, data acquisition, analytics and applications
- Proposing new or improved analytics to enhance M&D service and meet customer requirements
- Providing information about the latest advancements in Conversion, Modification, and Upgrade (CM&U) opportunities to customer and assist with implementation of any such CM&Us.
- Proposing reliability improvements
- Supporting testing and troubleshooting activities at site; case by case basis for travel to site
- Working in cooperation with BH Engineering teams, Project Management and other vendors to carry out root cause analyses, support customers and expedite issue resolution

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience on rotating machinery

- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Have proven experience in project planning and execution for complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
- Possess practical and theoretical knowledge of engineering design, manufacturing, prototype development, and testing.
- Have hands‑on experience using digital engineering tools from vendors such as Ansys, SIMULIA, MathWorks, Hexagon, or Siemens.

FPGA & Image Pipeline Architecture
- Owning the FPGA architecture for image acquisition, processing, and data movement across image sensors, memory, processors, and display/recording subsystems.
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing FPGA logic with a focus on timing closure, resource efficiency, determinism, and scalability.
- Developing and integrating FPGA IP related to image sensors, high‑speed video/data interfaces, DMA, and control paths.
- Documenting FPGA design, build, validation, and deployment processes.
Embedded Linux & HW/SW Co Design
- Developing and maintaining Linux kernel drivers and low‑level software for FPGA IP in a Xilinx Petalinux environment.

- Supporting system bring‑up, debugging, and performance tuning across FPGA, bootloader, kernel, and user space.
