Cloud Solution Architect - CTJ - Top Secret joins the GSCD team to deliver Success Programs for government, sovereign, and regulated customers. This role involves managing the full delivery lifecycle, including technical execution, milestone tracking, and documentation while providing architectural guidance across Azure, Security, AI, and Modern Work. The architect serves as a technical authority, ensuring high-quality standards and knowledge transfer during complex engagements. Key responsibilities include mentoring partners, identifying automation opportunities, and collaborating with subject matter experts to improve delivery methodologies. Candidates must possess expertise in cloud infrastructure, information technology consulting, and systems administration. The role specifically addresses the challenge of delivering services within restricted-demand environments that require high security clearances and specialized knowledge of sovereign clouds or Government Community Cloud High environments to solve complex technical problems for national security and defense customers.
Lead complex customer engagements for government and regulated sectors while ensuring technical excellence and consistent delivery standards.
Provide architectural guidance and best-practice validation across Azure, Security, AI, and Modern Work platforms.
Manage the full project lifecycle including readiness, milestone tracking, documentation, and final closure of deliverables.
Monitor and report on delivery health metrics such as capacity, customer satisfaction, and risk mitigation.
Represent restricted program interests in regional forums and business reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
Mentor and enable partner, vendor, and global architects to ensure consistent delivery practices.
Identify automation opportunities and develop reusable content based on field insights and best practices.
Translate ambiguous customer needs into structured technical plans and actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting, systems administration, network operations, software development, or architecture.
Must possess an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance.
Must provide verification of U.S. citizenship due to legal restrictions for government agency customers.
Experience independently leading the full technical engagement lifecycle from discovery through delivery and closure (preferred).
Experience delivering in U.S. government, sovereign, defense, or highly regulated environments like GCC High (preferred).
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or architecture with 4+ years in customer-facing technical roles (preferred).
Broad expertise across Azure and/or Microsoft 365 with depth in at least one area; relevant certifications are preferred.
