What you'll do

Develop and troubleshoot cloud and platform solutions using AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, and hybrid integration.
Write secure production code and maintain algorithms for containerized runtimes on AWS.
Architect and maintain production infrastructure in AWS using Terraform for secure-by-design provisioning.
Manage and scale containerized environments using AWS EKS, including networking, load balancing, and autoscaling.
Build backend automation tools, microservices, and internal APIs to streamline platform operations.
Enhance observability and throughput for high-volume enterprise telemetry data pipelines in the cloud.
Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and develop visualizations from large data sets.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and production support for cloud-hosted services.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments using modern programming and database querying languages.
Hands-on experience building with AWS core services including VPC, EKS, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, KMS, ALB/NLB, and Auto Scaling.
Hands-on experience deploying and operating containerized workloads on AWS ECS and/or EKS, including orchestration, networking, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in AWS networking including VPC design, security groups, PrivateLink, hybrid connectivity, and Route 53.
Proficiency in Terraform for authoring reusable modules, managing remote state, and troubleshooting plans for AWS resources.
Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and understanding responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
Familiarity with messaging systems like Confluent Kafka and AWS MSK (preferred).
Familiarity with building and operating streaming and telemetry pipeline systems (preferred).
