As a Cloud Software Engineer III within the Enterprise Observability Platforms team, you will join an agile team to design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You are responsible for executing software solutions, developing high-quality production code, and troubleshooting complex technical problems while creating architecture and design artifacts. Your daily work involves managing large data sets to identify patterns that improve system architecture and coding hygiene. You will utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to enhance development speed and quality. The role requires expertise in modern programming languages, database querying, and the full Software Development Life Cycle. Technical requirements include AWS services like EKS, Lambda, and S3; Terraform for infrastructure as code; and networking components like VPC and Route 53. Experience with Confluent Kafka or AWS MSK is preferred to support streaming pipeline systems.
Utilize AI coding tools to generate, refactor, and document code while ensuring security and quality standards.
Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring all design constraints are met.
Analyze large datasets to create visualizations and reports that drive continuous system improvements.
Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and overall system architecture.
Manage infrastructure using Terraform to build reusable modules and manage cloud resources.
Deploy and operate containerized workloads on AWS ECS or EKS environments.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
Hands-on experience building with AWS core services including VPC, EKS, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, KMS, ALB/NLB, and Auto Scaling.
Hands-on experience deploying and operating containerized workloads on AWS ECS and/or EKS.
Experience in AWS networking including VPC design, security groups, Private Link, hybrid connectivity, and Route 53.
Proficiency with Terraform for authoring reusable modules, managing state, and troubleshooting plans.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools and knowledge of messaging systems like Confluent Kafka or AWS MSK (preferred).
