Cloud Engineering Advisor

What you'll do

• Deploy, integrate, and manage private, public, and hybrid cloud platform services for enterprise-scale analytical applications.
• Develop infrastructure as code using scripts, templates, blueprints, and CI/CD orchestration tools.
• Provision safe and scalable environments while ensuring secure access to data assets.
• Establish standards for sizing, building, and monitoring fault-tolerant, 24/7 application infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot cloud computing systems and integrated platform services.
• Perform alert management and root cause analysis using monitoring stacks like Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to support team training and up-skilling.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal training in computer science, engineering, or information systems.
• 5 to experience in cloud engineering or a related field.
• Experience providing leadership in general planning, consulting settings, or as a senior member of multi-function project teams.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Yaml configurations, Shell scripting, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with GCP or other major cloud platforms, including Confluent Cloud administration.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java or Python.
• Experience with automation tools (PowerShell, Bash), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and monitoring stacks (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of the 7 layers of the OSI Network Model and experience with data analytical infrastructure like Dataflow, GCS, and BigQuery.
