What you'll do

  • Manage day-to-day team operations by delegating tasks, resolving roadblocks, and ensuring timely delivery of cloud services.
  • Develop technical strategies and visions for the service catalog in partnership with federal and program leadership.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to manage timelines, resource requirements, risk management, and status reporting.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement to deliver new services and modern ways of working.
  • Manage personnel activities including recruitment, hiring, performance management, training, and mentoring for the engineering team.
  • Oversee incident management by coordinating resolution parties and providing clear communication and after-action reporting to stakeholders.
  • Lead the development of standardized, reusable cloud services and automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Provide technical guidance on complex cloud architecture and lead customers through solution design and problem resolution.

What we're looking for

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related discipline.
  • Must have 10+ years of related experience in an IT-related field.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI (T1) Public Trust clearance.
  • Experience leading technical teams through engineering, service delivery, Agile development, and project activities is required.
  • Experience in people management including recruiting, hiring, performance management, training, and mentoring engineers is required.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure platforms, including compute, database, storage, networking, identity, and security services is required.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible with Git-based development practices is required.
  • Relevant certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure, Terraform, Agile, or project management are preferred.
  • Experience supporting cloud services within federal government or healthcare environments is preferred.
