As an Athletic Trainer at GDIT, you will join a dedicated healthcare services team to support mission readiness and performance. Your daily responsibilities include providing comprehensive injury mitigation, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services under the supervision of medical professionals. You will act as a bridge coordinator between rehabilitation and strength & conditioning services, ensuring clients can safely return to duty without restrictions. Additionally, you will design protective equipment, provide training and guidance within your scope of practice, and advise on injury prevention strategies. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training (Master's or Clinical Doctorate preferred), state licensure, NATABOC certification, and at least five years of experience working with athletes at high-level settings such as NCAA Division I, Olympic, professional sports, or USAF training programs.

What you'll do

  • Provide comprehensive injury mitigation, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services.

  • Function across the spectrum of the POTFF program under medical supervision.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and NATABOC certification required.
  • At least five years of experience as an ATC with athletes at NCAA Division I, Olympic, or professional levels.
  • Comprehensive injury mitigation, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services within scope of practice.
  • Design protective equipment and provide instruction within the ATC’s scope of practice.
  • Serve as a bridge coordinator between rehab and strength & conditioning services.
  • Function under supervision of medical professionals in providing training support.
