The Central Control Management - Controls Room L1 Business Analysis - Associate joins the Controls Room team to oversee existing control functions and develop new frameworks, protocols, and tooling solutions. This role focuses on applying analysis, reporting, and defect management within a suite of Operational Risk Management applications to support users and the broader organization. Daily responsibilities include monitoring KPIs across SLAs and data quality, analyzing application data to identify trends, leading triage meetings for production releases, and documenting support procedures. The candidate will utilize Tableau, Alteryx, Cognos, and Excel to create visualizations while managing defects with technology partners. Required skills include experience in business analysis or application support, knowledge of ETL processes, and proficiency in problem-solving with AI tools. Preferred technical skills include Python, R, Perl, SQL, and IDQ within an Agile methodology framework.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators regarding SLAs, data quality, and incident resolution.
Analyze user and application data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for the organization.
Lead triage meetings to review application defects and plan production releases.
Communicate detailed production incident updates to senior stakeholders, end users, and technology partners.
Partner with Technology teams to document bugs and prioritize fixes through production deployments.
Collaborate with Product Owners to recommend system and process enhancements based on data analysis.
Create user and application reports using visualization tools like Tableau.
Maintain the knowledge bank by documenting support issues, procedures, and operating models.
What we're looking for
2 years of reporting experience using data analytics and business intelligence tools like Tableau, Alteryx, or Cognos.
Proficiency in Excel including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and formulas.
Experience creating meaningful charts, graphs, and other data visualizations.
General knowledge of ETL processes.
Experience in Application Support, Client Service, Business Analyst, or Product Owner roles involving issue analysis and monitoring requirements.
Strong control background, process improvement, and project management experience.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Intermediate knowledge of programming languages like Python, R, Perl, SQL, or Alteryx (preferred); Agile methodology; and ticketing/defect management (preferred).
