As a C#, Python, Rust, SQL Lead Software Engineer within the CTO Identity & Access Engineering team, you will serve as a core technical contributor in an agile security software engineering environment. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to build critical technology supporting global cybersecurity and technology regulatory controls. Your daily responsibilities include writing high-quality production code, performing code reviews, and driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for refactoring and testing. You will utilize C#, Python, Rust, and SQL platforms alongside Kafka for streaming event-driven integrations. The role requires expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle, including CI/CD and TDD, while managing cloud-native security in AWS, Azure, or GCP to solve complex financial services IT infrastructure problems.

What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Design and execute creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems and cybersecurity regulatory requirements.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and technical credentials.
Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to improve overall engineering value.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Python, or Rust.
Database expertise in one or more SQL platforms and streaming event-driven integrations like Kafka.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle including TDD, BDD, and Evals.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Practical cloud native security management experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Experience with Elastic, Postgres SQL, or vector databases (preferred).
Experience in financial services (preferred).
