Business Systems Analyst, Revenue Integrity

What you'll do

• Analyze clinical documentation and charge data to ensure accurate and complete billing.
• Identify trends in missed charges, denials, and underpayments while conducting root cause analyses.
• Test and validate revenue cycle system changes, upgrades, and automation tools.
• Develop management control systems for financial planning, cost analysis, and performance tracking.
• Create formal presentations and reports on revenue integrity KPIs for leadership teams.
• Design improved work systems by mapping current processes against optimized workflows.
• Provide training and education to clinical and operational teams on charge capture best practices.
• Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, coding standards, and regulatory requirements during audits.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management, including billing, coding, or financial analysis.
• Certification in Revenue Integrity (e.g., CRCR, CHRI, CPC, CPMA).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables), Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), charge capture, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Experience with major EHR and revenue cycle platforms such as Epic or Cerner.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management and change control.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to collaborate across departments and present findings to leadership.
