Senior Epic Analyst

What you'll do

• Initiate the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex Epic HB applications.
• Analyze clinical work processes to validate impacts and recommend technology-enabled enhancements.
• Serve as the primary support contact for end-users to resolve application issues and service tickets.
• Lead project teams by defining scopes, allocating resources, and developing schedules for timely completion.
• Translate business and clinical requirements into detailed system design specifications and technical documentation.
• Mentor junior staff by instructing, directing, and checking the work of less experienced analysts.
• Collaborate with trainers to develop documentation and training strategies for new application features.
• Conduct technical reviews of IT design documentation to ensure high-quality product delivery.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Epic HB certification.
• Major systems development and implementation experience.
• Strong project management, team facilitation, and control skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
• Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate ideas and problem solutions effectively in both oral and written form.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Epic HB Analyst in a healthcare setting (preferred).
• Additional Epic certifications such as PB or Resolute (preferred).
• Familiarity with Epic tools including Chronicles, Clarity, Charge Router, Contracts, WQ, DNB, and Reporting Workbench (preferred).
• Experience working in a multi-hospital or integrated delivery network environment (preferred).
• Strong understanding of hospital billing workflows and revenue cycle operations (preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills (preferred).
• Experience with Epic upgrade cycles, testing, and documentation (preferred).
• Knowledge of CMS regulations, payer requirements, and billing compliance (preferred).
• Firm knowledge of Micro Strategy software.
• Ability to design effective user interfaces in BI products.
