BOM Configuration Specialist 2

What you'll do

• Create, manage, and maintain complex Bill of Materials (BOM) structures from initial development through high-volume manufacturing.
• Define BOM structures, part numbers, and quantities to maximize modularity, reusability, and manufacturability.
• Manage change requests and the release of existing and new BOMs with accurate attributes and classifications.
• Manage BOMs for nonstandard requests (NSRs), custom configurations, and field upgrades.
• Ensure data integrity across PLM systems including CAD (Creo, NX), Siemens Teamcenter, and SAP.
• Identify opportunities for modularity, subsystem commonality, and part reuse across product teams.
• Improve business processes related to BOM management and configuration tracking.

What we're looking for

• Associate degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or electrical engineering.
• Experience with PDM/PLM systems and spreadsheet software like Excel or Power BI.
• Familiarity with 3D MCAD design tools such as Creo or ProE.
• Experience with configuration and systems engineering including BOM structures and release processes.
• Ability to manage project timelines in alignment with company-wide BOM release cadences.
• Ability to build CAD assemblies to assess component compatibility within large-scale structures.
• Experience with agentic AI and automation tools is preferred.
