Drafter Designer V

What you'll do

• Create and modify detailed mechanical drawings from engineering sketches, layouts, or notes using CAD software.
• Design precise mechanical parts, subassemblies, and layouts following DFx principles and engineering standards.
• Develop 3D electrical and pneumatic harness routing using specialized CAD packages.
• Document and release engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) through PLM systems.
• Manage Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR) documentation to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
• Verify drawing plots against project inputs for correctness and adherence to drafting standards.
• Incorporate design modifications to improve manufacturing operations, product quality, and cost efficiency.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
• Highly skilled in 3D CAD applications such as Siemens NX and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems like SAP and Teamcenter.
• Solid knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication, machining, casting, and material properties.
• Strong understanding of GD&T symbols, welding symbols, surface finishes, and ASME drafting standards.
• Experience with large assembly management methodologies and concurrent engineering principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications and Adobe Acrobat.
• Preferred experience in the semiconductor equipment industry and cross-functional team collaboration.
