What you'll do

Select suppliers for specific products using the approved supplier list.
Partner with strategic suppliers to conduct concept scoping, feature trade-offs, and joint design development.
Develop and consolidate manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOM) to support internal and external production.
Manage capital expenditures throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase.
Perform value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead times and flexibility.
Conduct BOM risk assessments including the identification of alternate component sources.
Lead cost engineering activities to align bottom-up costs with total cost of ownership goals.
Manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export costs, and inflation.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical field.
5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Ability to relocate to Morrisville, NC if not already local.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret clearance.
Preferred: Master's degree or advanced technical degree.
Preferred: Experience in high-mix, low-volume environments or highly regulated industries like energetics and solid rocket motor production.
