What you'll do

Define and document BMS control requirements and develop core software features based on product needs.
Create common control features using model-based development for various electrification architectures.
Apply virtual product development through MIL/SIL simulations for testing, optimization, and performance verification.
Develop, calibrate, and validate BMS control features in lab and application environments.
Lead cross-functional engineering teams to implement robust BMS control strategies.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure system integration and validation of control strategies.
Provide on-site support at proving grounds and customer locations as needed.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (focus on control systems or mechatronics preferred).
Extensive industry experience developing controls software and system validation for complex systems.
Expertise in software validation methodologies including HIL, SIL, lab, machine, and vehicle testing.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, controls model design, and Model Based System Engineering tools with embedded code exposure.
Hands-on experience with CAN Communication, CANape, and Direct-to-Flash methodology.
Knowledge and experience with Lithium-Ion batteries and BMS control strategies.
Extensive experience in requirement analysis, conceptual thinking, and communicating complex technical concepts.
Extensive experience with embedded systems and problem-solving techniques (preferred: battery electric power systems, simulation, AI/ML).
