As a Backend Engineer joining the Risk Assessment Platform team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a reliable platform for risk assessments. Design and implement backend solutions for risk assessment data points.
Develop and maintain predictive features using Apache Spark and Kafka streams.
Solve complex technical problems related to distributed microservices systems.
Drive technical decisions and secure buy-in from stakeholders on difficult issues.
Create high-quality, reliable data models that capture unwanted behavior patterns.
Integrate system components following established integration patterns.
What we're looking for
5+ years of Java 11+ experience and willingness to learn Python
Experience with Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka streams for batch or stream processing
Expertise in complex distributed systems across microservices and Kafka
Strong problem-solving skills for refining and solving technical problems
Ability to drive complex decisions, get stakeholder buy-in, and take ownership
Hands-on knowledge of system integration patterns and UI-related contributions
