As a Backend Engineer - Risk Assessment Platform, you will join the Risk Assessment Platform team to build and maintain a centralized platform for data points used in risk assessments. This position addresses the technical challenge of providing high-quality data and predictive features to prevent financial threats while ensuring reliable risk management systems scale effectively.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain a centralized platform for data points used in risk assessments.
Provide technical assistance and guidance to the data engineering and machine learning communities.

Implement batch or stream processing using technologies like Apache Spark and Flink.
Drive complex technical decisions and obtain buy-in from stakeholders and leadership.

What we're looking for

You must have at least 5 years of experience with Java 11+.
You must be willing to learn Python quickly.
You need experience with batch or stream processing, preferably using Apache Spark and Flink/Kafka streams.
You should have experience with complex systems distributed across multiple microservices and Kafka.
You must possess hands-on knowledge of system integration patterns.
You must be able to drive complex technical decisions and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
You should have a strong product mindset and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
You must have the willingness to contribute to UI-related projects.
