Staff Backend Engineer, Identity Threat Protection

What you'll do

• Architect and lead the design, development, and delivery of cloud-native security products from concept to production.
• Solve complex technical challenges related to identity threat protection and machine learning.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews and create comprehensive unit and functional tests to ensure high programming standards.
• Mentor, groom, and educate junior engineers as a player-coach.
• Manage the development lifecycle for large-scale systems designed for planetary-scale operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, support, and documentation.
• Ensure product quality and velocity while leading remote teams in an agile environment.

What we're looking for

• You must have at least 7 years of experience building Java-based web applications.
• You must possess a deep understanding of design patterns, scalability, security engineering, and object-oriented principles.
• You must have a proven track record in security engineering and championing best practices.
• You must be able to work effectively within fast-paced teams using CI/CD practices.
• You must possess strong communication skills to collaborate across different functional teams.
• Experience with anomaly detection, risk systems, or cloud identity protocols is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in UI technologies such as Angular, ReactJS, Backbone, or Vue is an advantage.
• U.S. Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee.
