AWS Platform Operations Lead, Vice President leads the evolution of the AWS Federated platform toward an intelligent, automated, and AI-enabled operating model. This role is responsible for operational strategy, reliability, observability, security governance, and large-scale transformation to reduce risk and accelerate innovation. The leader will build out Site Reliability Engineering practices, establish service-level objectives, and implement advanced capabilities such as incident correlation, root cause analysis, and capacity forecasting. Key responsibilities include driving the adoption of Agentic AI, developing automated remediation workflows, and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitOps. The role requires expertise in AWS environments, cloud architecture, networking, and security within regulated industries. By integrating machine learning for predictive analytics and proactive risk identification, this position ensures a resilient, scalable platform supporting critical business workloads through advanced automation and operational intelligence.
Develop and execute the long-term operational vision, roadmap, and governance frameworks for the AWS Federated platform.
Drive the transition to AI-powered operations by implementing Agentic AI, automated remediation, and intelligent workflows.
Establish and mature Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices including SLOs, error budgets, and chaos engineering.
Create a unified operational intelligence framework using distributed tracing, log analytics, and predictive anomaly detection.
Implement "Operations-as-Code" to eliminate repetitive tasks through automated, self-service capabilities and reusable frameworks.
Manage security governance by automating vulnerability remediation, patch strategies, and regulatory compliance checks.
Serve as the senior leader for high-impact incidents, providing executive communication and driving post-event systemic improvements.
Build and lead a high-performing team across reliability engineering, observability, and automation disciplines.
What we're looking for
12+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, reliability engineering, operations transformation, infrastructure engineering, or related disciplines.
5+ years of leadership experience managing large-scale technology organizations.
Deep expertise operating enterprise-scale AWS environments in regulated industries.
Proven experience establishing operational strategy for complex cloud platforms and leading large-scale operational transformation initiatives.
Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, security, identity, automation, and service management disciplines.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and drive cross-functional change.
Experience with financial services, AIOps, platform engineering, Agentic AI, Terraform, or AWS certifications (preferred).
