Senior Platform Operations Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the administration, reliability, and day-to-day operations of enterprise SIEM, observability, and log management platforms.
• Manage platform components including search, indexing, clustering, and data management for tools like Splunk and Elastic Search.
• Optimize platform performance by analyzing monitoring alerts, service metrics, and operational insights to reduce technical debt.
• Support enterprise log pipelines and telemetry management by monitoring data flow and troubleshooting routing issues in tools like Cribl.
• Integrate security and operational telemetry into Databricks Data Lake environments for analytics and long-term data retention.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities while ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
• Define and implement operational standards, SOPs, and monitoring procedures aligned with ITIL and change management processes.
• Mentor global support teams and provide technical leadership for detection engineering and SIEM use case development.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of technology infrastructure, platform engineering, security operations, or enterprise monitoring experience.
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience in a large enterprise environment.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Services and Linux/Unix administration.
• Proficiency with enterprise SIEM, observability, and log management tools including Splunk, QRadar, Elastic Search, and Cribl.
• Experience integrating security telemetry into Databricks Data Lake environments for analytics and reporting.
• Proficiency in Python/Shell scripting and automation for operational support and service reliability.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS, Splunk, ITIL, or CISSP (preferred).
