Lead Software Engineer, Python, Big Data

What you'll do

• Build and deploy production-ready data processing pipelines and architectures.
• Develop, test, and maintain secure, high-quality production code in Python.
• Review and debug code written by other team members to ensure quality.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices and validation standards.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation and delivery speed.
• Design and deliver scalable data collection, storage, and analytics solutions.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience with Big Data, data platforms, and data engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• End-to-end experience developing data pipeline processes.
• Programming experience in Python, FAST API, and Spark.
• Technical competence in AWS services including Lambda, Glue, Step Function, ECS, and Terraform.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on responsible AI use.
• Training in Generative AI solutions like NLP and LLM models (preferred); experience with Snowflake (preferred).
