As a Lead Software Engineer - Python, AWS, Big Data within the Corporate Technology-Digital Workflows team, you will join an agile team to design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions. You will build and maintain essential data pipelines, develop high-quality production code, and troubleshoot complex technical problems while leading evaluations of architectural designs with internal teams and external vendors. Your daily work involves deploying applications in production and driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed. The role requires expertise in Python, FastAPI, Spark, and AWS services including Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, and ECS using Terraform. You will also leverage technologies like Snowflake and Generative AI solutions involving NLP, LLM models, RAG, and Prompt Engineering to solve complex data engineering challenges.
Build and deploy reliable data processing pipelines and architectures for production environments.
Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, secure code while performing peer code reviews.
Design and implement scalable solutions for data collection, storage, access, and analytics.
Troubleshoot complex technical problems and automate the remediation of recurring system issues.
Lead evaluations with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Implement Generative AI solutions including NLP, LLM models, and RAG using AWS Bedrock.
Manage infrastructure provisioning and data processing using Python, Spark, and various AWS services.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Experience with Big Data, data platforms, and data engineering concepts.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
End-to-end understanding and hands-on experience developing data pipeline processes.
Programming experience in Python, FastAPI, and Spark.
Technical competence in AWS services including Lambda, Glue, Step Function, ECS, and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with a focus on responsible AI practices.
Training and work experience in Generative AI solutions like NLP, LLM Models, RAG, Prompt Engineering, and AWS Bedrock (preferred); Snowflake experience (preferred).
