What you'll do

Develop and deliver end-to-end AWS cloud-native microservices using Python and modern engineering best practices.
Design and evolve distributed systems using AWS Lambda, ECS/Fargate, and EKS for scalability and performance.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or CloudFormation.
Implement CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and reliable release patterns like blue/green or canary deployments.
Build system resiliency and observability using multi-AZ decoupling, circuit breakers, and OpenTelemetry.
Operate production environments by investigating incidents, leading root cause analysis, and optimizing data stores.
Develop secure production code and perform thorough code reviews to remediate issues in others' code.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Design AWS cloud-native architectures including microservices, event-driven, and serverless systems.
Build Python backend services using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
Deliver serverless workloads on AWS using Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
Containerize and deploy applications to ECS, Fargate, and/or EKS.
Design and operate data stores including RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and ElastiCache.
Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Own CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, or GitHub Actions.
Implement observability and reliability using CloudWatch, X-Ray, or OpenTelemetry.
Enforce AWS security and compliance using IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and VPC patterns.
Strong soft skills including presentation, negotiation, mentoring, and stakeholder management (preferred).
Experience in the banking or financial services domain (preferred).
AWS certification(s) such as Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer (preferred).
Implement async processing and messaging using SQS, SNS, or EventBridge (preferred).
