AVP, Principal AI Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI/ML solutions and applications using LLMs, generative AI, and RAG architectures.
• Lead the end-to-end software engineering lifecycle including design, testing, deployment, monitoring, and optimization of AI solutions.
• Build and maintain cloud-native AI solutions utilizing AWS services such as Bedrock and related ML technologies.
• Design and implement APIs, microservices, and platform services to enable scalable AI capabilities across the enterprise.
• Establish engineering best practices for AI development, model evaluation, observability, security, and responsible AI.
• Translate business requirements from various departments into scalable technical solutions and high-value AI use cases.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and frameworks to recommend adoption opportunities within the organization.
• Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentoring to engineers and the future AI engineering team.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 8 years of software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or machine learning development experience.
• Strong hands-on programming expertise in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or LangChain.
• Experience designing and deploying Generative AI solutions, including LLMs, NLP, RAG architectures, and AI agents.
• Strong cloud engineering experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP for scalable AI/ML workloads.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries such as Financial Services, Banking, Healthcare, or Insurance.
• Deep understanding of machine learning concepts including deep learning, recommendation systems, and predictive analytics.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals including APIs, microservices, scalable architectures, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field (Ph.D. preferred).
