JOB TITLE: AVP, API Engineer The AVP, API Engineer joins the technical leadership team to oversee the development and lifecycle management of consumer bank and credit servicing applications. You will utilize tools such as PCF, Jenkins, Bitbucket, uDeploy, and Splunk to troubleshoot production defects and improve system performance. The position requires deep knowledge of event-driven architecture and cloud-native principles to solve complex financial business processes and maintain high-quality software.

What you'll do

Architect full-stack applications using PCF, Cloud Native Architecture, Microservices, J2EE, Spring Java, and RESTful APIs.
Design data models to support complex business processes and ensure operational excellence.
Drive the CI/CD strategy using the Jenkins, Bitbucket, and uDeploy technology stack.
Lead Agile sprints including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
Mentor development teams and influence technical strategy across the organization.
Analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, and implement fixes to resolve root causes.
Ensure all application code complies with corporate architecture, security, and technology standards.
Provide periodic 24x7 on-call support to maintain system availability.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of software engineering experience, or a High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of software engineering experience.
Minimum of 6 years of application development experience.
Expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud development.
Experience in PCF, Cloud Native Application Architecture, Microservices, J2EE, Spring Java, and RESTful APIs.
Ability to travel for business as required.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
Must be 18 years or older and able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
Experience building and consuming web services via SOAP and REST (preferred).
