AVP-Member of Tech Staff (Agentic API) joins the Member of Technical Staff program to provide executive technical leadership for enterprise network software, OSS modernization, and AI-enabled systems. This role involves leading large multi-disciplinary organizations to drive technology modernization strategy, governance, and investment priorities across cloud-native platforms and real-time data environments. The individual will oversee the design and integration of scalable APIs, automated network operations, and agentic workflows involving LLM integration and RAG. Key technical requirements include expertise in Python, Java, Kubernetes, Kafka, Mule, Kong, Snowflake, Databricks, and ServiceNow. The role addresses complex telecommunications challenges including Mobility, Fiber, Wireline, IP, Optical, and RAN environments. Candidates must navigate large-scale software engineering, infrastructure automation, and systems integration to improve delivery velocity while managing high-level stakeholder communications and technical roadmap execution across various enterprise technology domains.
Lead enterprise-wide technology modernization strategy across network software, APIs, cloud-native architectures, and AI-enabled systems.
Establish architecture visions, engineering standards, and integration frameworks aligned with business goals.
Direct the design and development of scalable platforms, real-time data pipelines, and automated network operations.
Drive the adoption of AI/ML, RAG, and LLM integrations to improve automation and operational efficiency.
Build internal engineering capabilities while reducing dependency on vendor-managed solutions.
Manage executive governance, investment prioritization, and roadmap sequencing across multiple organizations.
Lead large technical teams responsible for architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
Represent the company in industry forums and partner engagements to promote innovation and technology strategy.
What we're looking for
Minimum of 10 years of related experience in technical leadership across telecom architecture, OSS/API modernization, platform design, and systems integration.
Demonstrated leadership of large, multi-disciplinary technical organizations driving AI-enabled modernization including ML/AI, RAG, and LLM integration.
Deep expertise in network software domains including Mobility RAN, IP networks, optical networks, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Mule, Kong, Snowflake, and Databricks.
Strong programming and automation foundation including Python, Java, cloud-native automation, and infrastructure automation.
Executive-level communication skills to influence strategy, align stakeholders, and manage workforce, investment, and vendor strategies.
Demonstrated external technical credibility through patents, publications, conference speaking, standards contributions, or partner engagements.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (preferred).
Master's degree in a related STEM field (desired).
