AVP Engineering Security Operations Manager

What you'll do

• Manage a team of security engineers responsible for daily operations and maintenance of security technologies.
• Oversee the implementation, configuration, and optimization of tools like SIEM, EDR, DLP, and identity management systems.
• Develop and implement operational playbooks and procedures for incident response, threat hunting, and tool management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation to increase the efficiency of security operations processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to integrate security requirements into new system designs.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new security technologies and services for potential risks and benefits.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers to foster professional development.
• Report key security operational metrics and performance indicators to senior leadership.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in information security is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a security operations or engineering leadership role is required.
• 2+ years of experience managing and optimizing SIEM platforms like Splunk, Exabeam, or Sentinel is required.
• 2+ years of experience with EDR solutions such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is required.
• 2+ years of experience with vulnerability management platforms like Qualys, Tenable, or Rapid7 is required.
• Candidates should have a solid understanding of scripting and automation languages such as Python or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts and platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP is required.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is preferred.
