The Principal Security Operations Engineering Manager joins the Azure Security Operations team to lead the incident response function. In this role, you will manage a team responsible for protecting the cloud ecosystem through world-class threat investigation, security operations capabilities, and incident response. You will investigate complex security events, drive strategic investments to improve detection and recovery from sophisticated threats, and partner across engineering and product organizations to deliver defense-in-depth solutions. You will utilize data-driven decision making, automation, and AI innovation to solve complex security challenges and strengthen the security posture of critical cloud services and platforms.

Lead a team responsible for protecting the cloud ecosystem through incident response and threat investigation.

What we're looking for

Must have a Doctorate with 3+ years, Master's with 4+ years, or Bachelor's with 6+ years of relevant experience in software development, cyber security, or related fields.
Must have 1+ year(s) of people management experience.
Must be able to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
Must have experience in threat modeling, anomaly detection, SOC detection, threat analytics, SIEM, or operations incident response.
Must have experience in large-scale computing and the software development lifecycle.
Must have 2+ years of people management and/or informal/indirect team leadership experience (preferred).
Must have 1+ years of experience leading a security function such as SOC or threat and vulnerability management (preferred).
Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years.
