The AV Production Technician supports the planning, setup, operation, and delivery of high-quality live, hybrid, and virtual events across various event spaces, auditoriums, and digital collaboration environments. This role involves end-to-end technical execution for meetings, town halls, webcasts, and large-scale campus events. Key responsibilities include operating and troubleshooting audio consoles, video switchers, playback systems, cameras, and encoders. The technician must manage Dante audio networks and NDI video workflows while providing support for streaming platforms and collaboration tools like Webex, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom. Required skills include professional audio and video production, signal flow validation, and equipment readiness assessments. The role solves the technical challenge of delivering reliable, polished event experiences for senior leaders and cross-functional teams within a professional corporate environment.
Execute end-to-end technical production for live, hybrid, and virtual events including town halls and executive meetings.
Operate and troubleshoot AV systems such as audio consoles, video switchers, cameras, and control room equipment.
Manage Dante audio networks including routing, device configuration, signal flow validation, and troubleshooting.
Support NDI video workflows involving NDI-enabled cameras, encoders, decoders, and network-based video transport.
Provide technical support for streaming and webcasting platforms and collaboration tools like Webex, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
Perform pre-event checks, equipment readiness assessments, signal testing, and room validation to ensure quality control.
Maintain auditoriums and control room systems including video walls, networked AV devices, and production equipment.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for equipment repairs, upgrades, installations, and specific production needs.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree and 4 years of engineering/event production experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of engineering/event production experience.
Hands-on experience supporting live, hybrid, and virtual event production in a corporate, enterprise, auditorium, or broadcast environment.
Strong working knowledge of professional audio systems including microphones, wireless systems, mixers, DSPs, signal flow, and live troubleshooting.
Practical experience with Dante audio including device setup, routing, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Strong working knowledge of professional video systems including cameras, switchers, displays, playback, and production workflows.
Practical experience with NDI video including software, hardware devices, IP-based video workflows, and troubleshooting.
Experience supporting streaming, webcasting, and virtual event platforms like Webex, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
Experience with platforms such as Webex Events, Microsoft Teams Live Events, Socio, Kaltura, or VizRT (preferred).
