As an Advanced Audio Visual Specialist, you will join the Information Technology team to provide technical support for internal, customer, and C-level executive meetings. You will ensure reliable audiovisual experiences by performing regular maintenance, firmware updates, and routine repairs on conference-room equipment while proactively identifying system issues and designing AV upgrades. Your daily work involves testing, troubleshooting, and documenting solutions for end-users. You will utilize a variety of technologies including networks, codecs, audio/video switchers, and hardware from brands like Barco, Crestron, Biamp, and Extron. Key skills include proficiency in video over IP, digital signal processors, and teleconferencing platforms such as Teams and Zoom. You must be able to interpret CAD floor plans and signal flow diagrams to manage complex systems and ensure seamless communication across various technical environments.
Provide technical support for internal, customer, and C-level executive meetings to ensure reliable audiovisual experiences.
Perform regular maintenance, firmware updates, and routine repairs on conference room equipment.
Proactively identify system issues and recommend practical solutions or AV upgrades.
Test, troubleshoot, configure, and document AV solutions for end-user operation.
Maintain technical expertise in networks, codecs, switchers, and hardware from brands like Crestron and Biamp.
Interpret signal flow diagrams, floor plans, and configuration files to resolve technical issues.
Lead test sessions to ensure all audiovisual systems are functioning properly before important meetings.
Write technical documentation including standard operating procedures and technical proposals.
What we're looking for
U.S. citizenship is required.
A Master's degree plus 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of teleconferencing platforms such as Skype for Business, Teams, and Zoom is required.
Specialization in audio digital signal processors, video over IP, programming, networks, and matrix switchers is required.
Ability to provide technical expertise for hardware from brands like Barco, Crestron, Biamp, and Extron is required.
Competence in reading system signal flow diagrams, floor plans, and configuration files is required.
Strong experience with technical writing such as SOPs and technical proposals (preferred).
Certifications or specialized knowledge in Avixa CTS, Crestron, Biamp, Extron, Microsoft Teams Room systems, Barco Clickshare, or Dante levels are preferred.
