Autonomous Vehicle Test Engineer

What you'll do

• Execute defined autonomous vehicle test scenarios while following safety procedures and ensuring data accuracy.
• Triage and diagnose basic software and hardware issues and escalate complex findings to developers.
• Analyze vehicle and autonomy data logs to create observations for validation reports and defect tracking.
• Support the setup and operation of test tools and logging systems like Vector and d-Space.
• Track test execution status and progress updates across cross-functional test pipelines.
• Maintain accurate test cases, results, and traceability in Jira and Confluence.
• Execute verification tasks for new builds to confirm performance against acceptance criteria.
• Identify opportunities to enhance test coverage, automation, and data workflows.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of overall experience in automotive, consumer, or AV engineering.
• Foundational understanding of automotive networks and protocols including CAN, Ethernet, and LIN.
• Working knowledge of integration processes, validation methods, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with test management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
• Exposure to software integration and logging tools like Vector, Intrepid, INCA, and dSpace (preferred).
• Introductory programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript (desired).
• Basic understanding of system software concepts on Linux and/or QNX (desired).
