As an Automation Engineer, Officer, you will join the Quality Assurance Infrastructure team as a senior member of the automation center of excellence. You will build the next generation of software test automation frameworks, pipelines, and infrastructure to enable automated product validation for the State Street Alpha platform. Your daily responsibilities include developing automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests, maintaining test script libraries, and managing labs for manual and automated testing. You will utilize Java, C#, PowerShell, and Bash, while leveraging tools such as Rest Assured, Playwright, Azure SDK, Kafka SDK, Cosmos DB, Swagger, Silk4Net, FlaUI, and Talend. You will also manage pipelines using TeamCity, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Argo CD to ensure high-quality software delivery within an Agile environment.

What you'll do

Build and expand the next generation of the software test automation framework and infrastructure.
Create pipelines to execute automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
Maintain automated and manual test script libraries for various testing types.
Interpret automation test results and document software defects in the issue tracking system.
Research and recommend new automation approaches, including the use of Artificial Intelligence.
Guide and mentor junior staff on best practices and the creation of automated test scripts.
Conduct staging and certification of product media during the ship-stage of a release.
Maintain and expand labs that host both automated and manual testing.

What we're looking for

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Business with an MIS background.
MS degree (preferred).
2-4 years of experience building and supporting test automation frameworks in an enterprise, process-driven environment.
Strong programming skills in JAVA, C#, and shell scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash.
Experience implementing automation tools like Rest Assured, Playwright, Azure SDK, Kafka SDK, Cosmos DB, Swagger, Silk4Net, FlaUI, and Talend (preferred).
Experience creating and updating pipelines using TeamCity, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Argo CD (preferred).
Demonstrated experience executing automation test scripts against web, native/desktop applications, APIs, and batch applications.
At least 3 years of experience working with an Agile development methodology (preferred).
