As an Audio Video Engineer within the Digital Experience team, you will architect, implement, and support advanced A/V systems across a global office footprint to support hybrid work environments. You will design scalable solutions, write configuration scripts for automation, build observability tools like health dashboards and telemetry, and manage technical debt to reduce system complexity. The role involves creating architecture artifacts, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to translate business requirements into technical designs. You will utilize technologies including Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, Zoom APIs, JSON, Python, and JS while managing platforms like Logitech Sync or Crestron XiO Cloud. The work focuses on high-reliability A/V environments involving signal flow, audio processing, and A/V-over-IP to ensure seamless performance in conference rooms, boardrooms, and auditoriums for large-scale enterprise collaboration.
Design and implement scalable A/V solutions for complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Write, test, and maintain configuration scripts to automate the deployment of A/V systems.
Build observability tools including alerts, telemetry, and health dashboards to monitor system reliability.
Participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot issues and minimize downtime during escalations.
Create technical architecture artifacts such as system diagrams and define configuration standards.
Translate business requirements from stakeholders into technical A/V system designs.
Identify and resolve technical debt to optimize performance and reduce system complexity.
Mentor junior engineers and create internal documentation, runbooks, and onboarding guides.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, A/V Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience engineering A/V systems in enterprise environments such as conference rooms, boardrooms, and auditoriums.
Proficiency in configuration and scripting using tools like Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, Zoom APIs, JSON, Python, or JS.
Deep understanding of A/V control systems, video conferencing technologies, signal flow, audio processing, and A/V-over-IP.
Experience building and maintaining A/V monitoring and telemetry platforms like Zoom Dashboard, Logitech Sync, or Crestron XiO Cloud.
Strong documentation skills for creating runbooks, design wikis, and SOPs.
Experience leading system troubleshooting during incidents with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term mitigation.
Certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, Crestron Programmer, Q-SYS Level 2, or equivalent (preferred); experience with multi-site global deployments (preferred).
