Senior AI/ML Engineer, Life Science

What you'll do

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of machine learning solutions for cancer screening and precision oncology.
• Apply advanced AI algorithms to solve complex problems involving biological, genomic, clinical, and healthcare data.
• Define technical requirements and prioritize ML-based solutions for bioinformatics, biostatistics, and data engineering applications.
• Develop and execute an internal AI strategy to enhance research processes using both custom and existing tools.
• Manage the deployment of machine learning models and oversee the development of related software solutions.
• Establish Agile frameworks to deliver iterative results and demonstrate the potential of new AI technologies.
• Create training resources, knowledge bases, and educational materials regarding advanced AI and ML best practices.
• Mentor junior team members and serve as a subject matter expert in cross-functional technical meetings.

What we're looking for

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Master’s Degree in Statistics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field plus 4 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in statistics, computational biology, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms.
• Mastery of advanced AI concepts including neural networks, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and large language models.
• Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or SKLearn.
• Experience with open-source AI models and techniques like NLP, computer vision, and transformer architecture.
