What you'll do

Perform laboratory experiments, method development, and analytical procedures in assigned areas of expertise.
Conduct complex analyses of genome-wide association and high-throughput sequencing data related to Alzheimer Disease.
Design and implement statistical frameworks for integrative genomic analyses in multi-ancestry populations.
Develop machine learning and large language model approaches to create predictive tools for disease diagnosis.
Write and submit extramural grant proposals to federal agencies and foundations to secure research funding.
Author and publish original research articles in refereed journals independently or with principal investigators.
Supervise, train, and instruct fellows, students, and staff in computational genomics and statistical modeling.
Manage project resources by acquiring necessary equipment and maintaining accessible experimental data for the team.

What we're looking for

A Doctorate degree in Philosophy (PhD) is required.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
Ability to perform complex analyses of genome-wide association and high throughput sequencing data.
Proficiency in computational pipelines using R, Python, or other appropriate computing languages.
Experience designing and implementing robust statistical frameworks for integrative genomic analyses.
Ability to develop and apply machine learning and large language model (LLM) approaches for predictive tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for scientific publication and grant writing.
Ability to supervise, train, and instruct fellows, students, and staff in computational genomics.
