Associate Electrical Engineer

What you'll do

• Prepare component drawings and specifications for complex electro-optical, opto-mechanical, or electro-mechanical products.
• Support procurement by selecting parts, preparing material submittals, and interpreting lab test results to ensure compliance.
• Design, analyze, and test FPGA hardware, circuit card assemblies, and digital communication systems using VHDL.
• Perform RF/microwave device testing and evaluation using tools like ADS, HFSS, CST, and MATLAB.
• Develop and evaluate optical communications systems, including performing tolerancing analyses for manufacturability.
• Design and execute test plans to verify the operational state and requirements compliance of hardware products.
• Conduct system analysis to determine design feasibility within specific time and cost constraints.
• Present technical results and analysis to program engineers and customers on a regular basis.

What we're looking for

• Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Applicants may have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain required security clearances.
• Knowledge of VHDL, MCM, HFSS, Network, Power, Analog, Antennas, Controls, ENE, RF, Photonics, Modem, EDA, DSP, MATLAB, Communication Systems, FPGA, Aerospace, or Optical Engineering (preferred).
• Knowledge of Code V and/or Zemax software tools (preferred).
• Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills (preferred).
• Knowledge of FRED, Matlab, or Python (preferred).
• Familiarity with various computing environments such as LINUX or Windows (preferred).
