Associate Director, External Data Acquisition and Delivery joins the Clinical Data Management team to provide strategic oversight and operational leadership for external data activities across the clinical trial portfolio. The role involves managing the acquisition, integration, quality oversight, and delivery of high-quality data from third-party vendors, including laboratory, biomarker, Digital Health Technologies, imaging, ECG, PK, and genomics data. Key responsibilities include developing Data Transfer Specification documents, overseeing vendor performance via KPIs and SLAs, and governing reconciliation between EDC systems and vendor platforms. The position requires expertise in Medidata Rave, Veeva, or Oracle Inform, along with experience in SAS, CSV, and XML formats. Oversee vendor onboarding, qualification, governance, and performance monitoring using established KPIs and SLAs.
Govern reconciliation activities between EDC systems and vendor platforms to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Lead process improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and the implementation of innovative external data solutions.
Manage, coach, and mentor a team of EDAD managers, specialists, and associates.
Ensure regulatory compliance and inspection readiness for all external data collection activities.
What we're looking for
Minimum 10+ years of experience in Clinical Data Acquisition/Management within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
Minimum 4+ years of people management experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Health, Mathematics, Computing, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Demonstrated experience overseeing external data reconciliation activities between EDC systems and vendor platforms.
Expertise managing multiple clinical external data types including biomarker, imaging, eCOA, ECG, PK, genomics, laboratory, and Digital Health Technology data.
Advanced knowledge of EDC platforms such as Medidata Rave, Veeva, or Oracle Inform.
Experience working with SAS, CSV, and XML data formats.
Strong understanding of industry regulations including 21 CFR Part 11, ICH-GCP, and CDISC standards.
