Associate Director, IT Data and AI

What you'll do

• Drive end-to-end technical delivery of AI/ML solutions for clinical operations, data management, safety, and regulatory domains.
• Manage Agile delivery processes including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release schedules.
• Oversee the development of scalable solutions using Databricks, AWS, and enterprise Data & AI platforms.
• Define and enforce technical standards for research data models, storage, automation workflows, and AI/ML pipelines.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and serve as the escalation point for technical risks and blockers.
• Monitor product performance and track adoption metrics to drive continuous improvement toward quantifiable targets.
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee co-sourced delivery teams.
• Ensure all solutions comply with data governance, security, and GxP regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years or Master's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading AI/ML delivery programs in Agile environments.
• Hands-on experience in data engineering, data science, or architecture.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML architectures and cloud platforms like Databricks and AWS.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Product-centric mindset with a focus on value realization.
• Experience in clinical development (trial ops, data management, safety) is preferred.
• Experience in GxP regulated environments or with generative AI applications is an optional differentiator.
