Associate Director, External Manufacturing - Biologics

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary contact person for managing third-party manufacturing relationships and technical support.
• Negotiate Manufacturing Service Agreements and ensure compliance with all contract terms.
• Develop and manage material procurement strategies to ensure suppliers have necessary components.
• Communicate product forecasts to manufacturers and coordinate delivery schedules with supply chain teams.
• Manage project lifecycles including scope, cost, time, resource management, and risk mitigation.
• Oversee quality systems, conduct periodic audits, and manage deviation investigations with the quality team.
• Monitor manufacturing performance trends and develop process improvement plans with technical teams.
• Develop financial operating plans and ensure all manufacturing goals meet corporate financial targets.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or technical related field (preferred).
• MSc or MBA degree (preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, project management, quality, or S&T.
• Experience managing subcontracted relationships (preferred).
• Strong project experience and the ability to influence others.
• Proven leadership ability with superior communication skills across all formats.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, supply activities, and business financial systems.
• Ability to identify issues and perform strong problem analysis and solution development.
