Associate Director, Digital Scientific Workflows

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary domain owner for sample management workflows across small molecule, biologics, and vaccine modalities.
• Act as the technical subject matter expert for data capture systems including LIMS, Appian, and Benchling.
• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and scientists to design new digital and data solutions.
• Develop scientific dashboards, reports, and data exports to facilitate collaboration across process, formulation, and analytical teams.
• Define and enforce consistent data capture practices and metadata schemas within a pharmaceutical context.
• Map scientific workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and drive the adoption of new digital tools.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to ensure alignment with established sample management practices.

What we're looking for

• A Ph.D. in a relevant scientific or technical field with at least 3 years of experience.
• An M.S. in a relevant scientific or technical field with at least 5 years of experience.
• A B.S. in a relevant scientific or technical field with at least 7 years of experience.
• Experience integrating data capture systems like Benchling, Appian, and LIMS into pharmaceutical or chemical workflows.
• Experience mapping scientific workflows, identifying efficiency gains, and enforcing consistent data capture practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior members, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub) and collaborative software development practices.
• Experience with data visualization tools, AWS services, or data pipeline tools like Dataiku or Databricks (preferred).
