As the Director, Computational Sciences, you will lead a global computational chemistry team within the Molecular Profiling and Drug Delivery organization. What you'll do

  • Lead and manage a global team of 10-12 scientists in the computational chemistry space.

  • Manage project intake, capacity planning, and timelines for the small molecule portfolio.
  • Drive innovation in computational methodologies and integrate emerging technologies into drug candidate optimization.
  • Oversee an ecosystem of external research collaborations with academic and technology partners.
  • Ensure robust model and data management to drive tool utilization and refinement.
  • Resolve internal conflicts regarding resource allocation and scientific setbacks.
  • Mentor and develop staff to ensure they reach their full potential within the organization.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree with 18+ years of experience, Master's with 16+ years, or PhD with 12+ years of experience in a relevant scientific field.
  • Experience must include managing and leading scientific research teams.
  • Proven track record of high-impact scientific achievement including a robust publication record.
  • Expertise in quantum mechanics, atomistic molecular simulations (including molecular dynamics), and AI/machine learning.
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art computational methodologies and technology platforms to accelerate drug discovery and development.
  • Strong track record of people, technical, and research project management with significant impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and navigate multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with executive presence.
