TL;DR · Associate Director, Commercial AI and Advanced Analytics

Associate Director, Commercial AI and Advanced Analytics serves as a key member of the enterprise analytics team, providing advanced commercial measurement and decision intelligence across various brands and therapeutic areas. This hands-on role involves designing and executing Marketing Mix models, Key Driver Analyses, and causal inference methods to inform investment decisions and omnichannel strategies. The successful candidate will build scalable pipelines for automated insights while translating complex modeling outputs into actionable recommendations for marketing and finance partners. Required technical skills include proficiency in Python or R for statistical modeling, SQL for managing large pharmaceutical datasets, and experience with cloud platforms like Databricks and Snowflake. The role addresses the challenge of optimizing brand performance within a regulated pharmaceutical environment by integrating advanced analytics into decision-making workflows to improve investment allocation and overall marketing effectiveness across diverse channels.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute end-to-end Marketing Mix (MMx) and Key Driver Analyses to support brand planning and budget optimization.
  • Quantify incremental impact across various channels including sales force, digital media, and patient programs using advanced modeling techniques.
  • Build scalable, automated MMx pipelines that are explainable and compliant with pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Operationalize causal models into always-on analytics pipelines to provide continuous decision support for brand and field teams.
  • Translate complex technical model outputs into clear, actionable business recommendations for marketing and finance partners.
  • Define the Key Business Questions (KBQ) framework to bridge business intent with technical semantic layers.
  • Partner with engineering and platform teams to integrate insights into AI-enabled tools and agentic workflows.
  • Ensure all analytics products adhere to data privacy, AI governance, and model validation standards like HIPAA and GDPR.

What we're looking for

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical commercial analytics with ownership of MMx/MMM and causal analysis.
  • Hands-on expertise in advanced Marketing Mix Modeling including Bayesian, hierarchical, adstock, and saturation modeling.
  • Strong background in causal inference and incrementality measurement using geo-experiments or synthetic control methods.
  • Proficiency in Python or R for statistical modeling and SQL for managing large pharmaceutical datasets.
  • Experience with cloud analytics platforms like Databricks or Snowflake and production data pipelines.
  • Ability to translate complex analytical results into actionable business narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled or automated analytics platforms (preferred).
