What you'll do

Develop and maintain internal database tools, services, and automation scripts using Python, Perl, or Java.
Migrate legacy scripts and workflows into scalable, service-based, or API-driven solutions.
Provide schema design support and SQL reviews for application teams to ensure adherence to standards.
Implement guardrails and validations to improve performance, reliability, and security across database platforms.
Automate manual operational tasks to increase consistency across various environments.
Perform incident analysis and develop code fixes or tooling enhancements to prevent recurring issues.
Improve platform observability through logging, monitoring integration, and tool enhancements.

What we're looking for

Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Perl, or Java.
Basic understanding of relational database concepts including tables, indexes, transactions, and SQL.
Familiarity with software development fundamentals including version control, code reviews, and testing.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn enterprise database platforms and tooling.
Ability to work effectively in a team-based, large-scale technology environment.
Exposure to database platforms such as SQL Server, Snowflake, or similar enterprise databases (preferred).
Experience supporting or maintaining internal tools, scripts, or shared libraries (preferred).
Familiarity with APIs, automation frameworks, or CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
