The Associate Consultant role is part of the Implementation team, where participants join a twelve-month rotational development program designed to prepare early career professionals for full-time consulting positions. Working under an Implementation Manager, you will provide technical assistance via phone, email, and in-person interactions while performing requirements gathering, workflow analysis, configuration, and test case development. You will actively participate in functional or technical implementation projects, diagnose software issues, and conduct research to resolve customer inquiries regarding Blotter, Manager Workbench, Compliance, and Post Trade modules. The role requires proficiency in data mapping, upgrades, and interface configuration using tools such as ETL, SOAP/SML, RDBMS including Oracle and MS SQL Server, Java, C#, Windows, UNIX, PERL, and R. You will solve complex client service business problems within the financial software services industry.

What you'll do

  • Respond to customer requests for technical assistance via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Perform requirements gathering, documentation, workflow analysis, design, and configuration under manager supervision.
  • Diagnose software issues and recommend appropriate solutions to clients.
  • Participate as a billable team member on full-cycle functional or technical implementation projects.
  • Provide training and answer questions regarding software functionality for end users.
  • Conduct research using internal resources and product specialists to resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain detailed logs of customer interactions and prepare formal resolution reports.
  • Perform data mapping, system upgrades, and basic interface configurations.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor degree or higher from a leading college or university.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytical Finance, Economics, or other technical/analytical fields (Computer Science highly preferred).
  • Interest, exposure, background, or internship experience in the financial/software services industry (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks while engaging with internal and external partners.
  • Knowledge of tools including ETL, SOAP/SML, RDBMS, Java, C#, Windows, UNIX, PERL, or R.
  • Willingness to travel 30-40% to customer sites as a full-time consultant.
