Assistant Vice President – IT Security Governance & Risk Management serves as a hands-on execution lead for the Alternatives Investment Services and Insurance technology platforms. This role manages enterprise-wide remediation and compliance initiatives within a highly regulated environment, focusing on identity and access risk, vulnerability management, and multi-factor authentication. The individual will partner with infrastructure teams and application owners to resolve aged passwords, non-human accounts, and end-of-life components while ensuring all actions are audit-ready. Key responsibilities include producing executive-level reporting, tracking remediation progress through enterprise change management tools, and managing policy violations. Required skills include expertise in IT risk management, security governance, and regulatory compliance. The role utilizes ServiceNow, identity platforms, SharePoint, and various reporting and analytics tools to manage a complex application portfolio and address critical security gaps across the organization's technology infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Lead the remediation of aged passwords and non-human service accounts across the application portfolio.
  • Track and manage the implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) across all enterprise platforms.
  • Review weekly vulnerability reports to identify at-risk items and drive timely resolution with technical teams.
  • Manage the lifecycle risk of applications using end-of-life or unsupported components in official repositories.
  • Produce executive-level reporting on security risks, trends, and remediation progress for senior leadership.
  • Escalate non-compliance, missed timelines, and high-risk items to senior management for intervention.
  • Provide guidance to application owners on remediating policy violations and control gaps.
  • Support audit and regulatory inquiries through the delivery of consistent, high-quality data and reporting.

What we're looking for

  • 7–10+ years of experience in IT risk management, security governance, identity and access management, or regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead remediation activities across large, complex application portfolios.
  • Experience producing executive-level reporting and communicating technical risks to senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, follow-through, and escalation in matrixed environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Preferred experience within financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with identity governance, vulnerability management, MFA programs, and application security controls.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, identity platforms, SharePoint, and reporting/analytics tools.
