What you'll do

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application performance issues, batch processing failures, and middleware problems.
  • Monitor and provide operational support for critical business applications across the enterprise technology landscape.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions to support business objectives.
  • Write and maintain code to deliver new features and ongoing product enhancements.
  • Analyze systems and processes to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and improvement.
  • Manage risks associated with business activities in accordance with organizational compliance standards.
  • Follow Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices for requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Coordinate technical teams and communicate effectively during high-severity service disruptions.

What we're looking for

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Must have a basic understanding of at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Must have a basic understanding of Mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, and z/OS.
  • Must have experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Datadog.
  • Must have experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or similar operational platforms.
  • Must have an understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Event, and Knowledge Management processes.
  • Must be able to work in San Antonio, TX, at least 4 days per week.
