JOB TITLE: AOC AppTX Cloud Engineer SME The AOC AppTX Cloud Engineer SME joins the Application Transformation team to support the Air Operations Center Weapon System program. This role involves leading technical integration, testing, and execution oversight for migrating legacy and third-party applications to the cloud. The engineer will manage team performance, drive customer reviews, and oversee infrastructure enhancements within an Agile DevSecOps environment. Key responsibilities include implementing device configurations, managing OS updates, and supporting cloud software architecture. The position requires expertise in Kubernetes, Istio, service mesh technologies, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible. The engineer will solve complex technical problems by providing leadership in architecture definition, container orchestration, and deployment automation for large-scale Department of Defense command and control programs, ensuring high availability and security across multi-site enterprise deployments.

What you'll do

Migrate and integrate legacy and third-party applications to the cloud using DevSecOps techniques.
Provide technical leadership for cloud-native and hybrid cloud architecture design and trades.
Oversee technical integration, testing, and performance management against cost and schedule requirements.
Implement and maintain device configurations, OS updates, and security patches per ATO conditions.
Support cloud software architecture and solution development for DoW weapons system applications.
Manage core services including Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and ArcGIS for cloud operations.
Lead cross-functional engineering teams through proposal, design, and production phases.
Support business development by authoring proposal volumes and technical solution narratives.

What we're looking for

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance.
Must be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance (preferred).
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
Graduate-level degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
10+ years of related experience.
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevSecOps, or systems integration, preferably in a DoW or classified environment.
3+ years of direct experience with cloud migration, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent).
